When i first joined this site, I started a fan comic set in Marvel continuity. It was an X-men side story that took place after the M-Day event that left 85% or so mutants on Earth COMPLETELY depowered.

In Marvel Continuity, Jubilee was one of the depowered mutants. As a Jubilee fan for YEARS, i hated how writers kept giving her the short stick. She had LOADS of potential, but they kept resigning her to the kiddie little sidekick X-person. The silly kid with little sparkles. Even Kitty Pride got to grow up and become a serious X-member. Jubes deserved the same level of TLC.

Thusly, my fan-work REJEX focused on a NON-DEPOWERED, older(19-year-old), more badass yet still fun Jubilee, as she returned to the x-mansion, met the new mutants, and dealt with being thrust back into the mutant hijinks she had left behind years prior.

I recently learned that REJEX got 3 fan awards (member's choice) from CBR forums. Best Fan Comic, Best Issue in a Fan Comic (REJEX issue 4) and Fan Comic Deserving of Publishing. It's not a big deal at all---not saying it is. But it was nice to return to DA after so long and find that out.

Anyway, this pic is based on the redesign i had drawn years back---- and was planned for Jubes in later issues. I'll have to splash color on this updated pic at some point.
