Description
Next Step-by-Step.
The second set of STEP-by-STEPs I'm upping today.
I did this piece in February, for my Draw a day month titled TIME ta GO ta WORK. This breakdown was done up sparingly throughout the week.
THe selection of these "Request Day" images was randomized. I had about 50 creators offer their original characters--one of these characters would then be selected to be drawn by me. I remember seeing this character and thinking it would be a complex one---and fearing that i could finish it in the time allowed for a Draw-a-DaY. The image that I used as a reference seemed to imply there was a lot of little details happening that could easily be missed out on---details I challenged myself not to miss.
The template I used for Raka by Baby was key in making this go smoothly. I remember following the same formula, this time playing with blurs and soft noise grain layers set to LIGHTEN.
A very cool character---and in the end, I'm really glad to have gotten the chance to take a swing at her.
Download for a closer look if'n ya need one.

oh these are cool.
It's a little hard in some panels to figure out what you did (ie here, between 4 & 5)
but also serves to show your attention to detail and how the little things can make a difference.
In some panels, such as 8, it's cool to see the character in such sharp detail, since she gets blurred a little to emphasize the action in the end ~
